Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks overnight. A minor died and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults follow periods of air raids in the area, parts of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with strikes already impacting energy systems.
